Latest news (Thursday 5th March 2009): The Bank of England have today reduced the base rate to 0.5% which is great news for anyone who currently has a Tracker mortgage, but may not benefit anyone else. Some lenders may reduce their Standard Variable Rate so there may be some benefit there. But if you are have a fixed rate mortgage, there will be no change until your fixed rate has ended.
